Qinghai , Tibetan plateau xining beishan

The Yangtze, Yellow and Lancang rivers rise in Qinghai Province in northeast Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The province is home to a number of ethnic peoples, including the Hans, Tibetans, Huis and Tus, Salas and Mongols, but the Qiangs were the earliest settlers. Qinghai is a major pastoral region, and there is so much to see in the province, such as snow-clad mountains and glaciers, lakes and rivers, dense forests, folkways, scenic spots and places of historical interest. The Tar (Kumbum) Monastery is a religious sanctuary. Popular tourist destinations include the headwaters of the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, the Qinghai Lake and the bird Isle. With steady improvement in transportation and tourist service facilities, Qinghai is rising as a new tourist destination for holidaymakers, adventurers and sightseers from at home and abroad.
